The National Wild Horse and Burro Foundation received a $11,000 donation from Breyer Animal Creations and Tractor Supply Company as a portion of the proceeds from the sale of a Breyer model horse, Nevada Joe Sterling. The model of Nevada Joe Sterling is a limited edition available only from Tractor Supply Stores. "Joe" was adopted from the BLM in August 2001, by the Wahl Clipper Corporation in conjunction with Horse Illustrated Magazine and Tractor Supply Company. "Joe" is from the Fox and Lake Range managed by the Winnemucca field office. He was named Nevada Joe Sterling because he was born in Nevada, is an average Joe and currently resides in Sterling, Illinois.Training for Nevada Joe Sterling was featured in 12 articles published in Horse Illustrated in 2002
