Eagle Exploration, Inc. has submitted a Notice of Staking, to be followed by an APD, to drill an oil and gas well in White River Valley, Nye County, Nevada. The location is approximately 14 miles south of Lund, approximately 300 feet east of SR-318.

Disturbance for the well pad location would be approximately 2.5 acres. Access to the project area would consist of approximately 300' of widened existing dirt road and 2000 feet of newly constructed road. A water well would be drilled on the location. Additional gravel may not be required. Reclamation would consist of recontouring and reseeding the pad and the access road. The access road and well are within the lease.

The area was previously burned. Vegetation consists of massive cheat grass with sage and minor amounts of native grasses and forbs. On-site surveys found no cultural, wildlife, or sensitive/T&E species concerns. The South Egan WSA is about 1,500 feet east of the location.
