The proposal is to fully process the renewal of the term grazing permit for Dean Carter on the North Chokecherry Allotment (20134). The current grazing term permit for the North Chokecherry Allotment will expire on 05/15/2009. Cattle are the authorized kind of livestock. The issuance of the term grazing permit would be for a period of ten years. The term permit for the North Chokecherry Allotment currently authorizes 770 cattle AUMs from October 15 to May 15. The grazing permit area occurs primarily within White Pine County, Nevada. The permit area also occurs within Millard County, Utah. The permit area is situated in the east portion of the Ely District BLM, approximately 55 miles east of Ely, Nevada. The permit area occurs within the Hamblin Valley Watershed (#180). The term permit will be issued in accordance with Title 43 CFR 4130.2(a), "Grazing permits or leases shall be issued to qualified applicants to authorize use on the public lands and other lands under the administration of the Bureau of Land Management that are designated as available for livestock grazing through land use plans."
