The proposal is to fully process the reinstatement of the term grazing permit for Bradshaw Ranch on the Ike Springs/Ike Bench Use Area of the Duckwater Allotment (0701). The former grazing permit for Bradshaw Ranch was cancelled in 1998. Cattle are the authorized kind of livestock. The issuance of the term grazing permit would be for a period of ten years. This term permit for the Duckwater Allotment would authorize 305 cattle AUMs from June 1 to February 28. The grazing permit area occurs entirely within Nye County, and is situated in the west portion of the Ely District BLM, approximately 60 miles west of Ely, Nevada. The permit area occurs within the Railroad Valley (# 156) Watershed. The term permit will be issued in accordance with Title 43 CFR 4130.2(a), "Grazing permits or leases shall be issued to qualified applicants to authorize use on the public lands and other lands under the administration of the Bureau of Land Management that are designated as available for livestock grazing through land use plans."
