Aguila-Eden Geophysical Exploration Survey

Aguila Exploration, on behalf of Eden Energy Corp., is proposing a geophysical exploration survey in the northwest portion of White Pine County (Ely BLM District) and eastern Eureka County (Battle Mountain BLM District). A similar project was conducted in 2005. The lines cross the Diamond Mountains, on the west side, and Huntington Valley, on the east side. See the attached map.

The project consists of two shot hole seismic lines, a total of 19 miles. Shot holes will be 18 meters in depth with 100 meter spacing between holes. Vehicles include balloon tired buggy drill rigs, a recording truck, a pick-up and 2 ATV's. A helicopter will be used to support operations across the Diamond Mountains and other portions of the survey.

Cultural and biological surveys were conducted by contractors in September 2006. Additional field surveys would be conducted in the spring over areas identified in the September survey as having a potential for species that need do to be avoided. The seismic survey would be conducted in early summer 2007, if wildlife resources would not be affected, or later in the summer if nesting birds, in particular, may be affected.

An Environmental Assessment is being prepared to analyze the impacts. Comments on the proposal and requests for additional information can be sent to Bill Wilson . Comments must be received by November 23, 2006. For further information phone Bill Wilson at (775) 289-1882 or by mail at
