Welcome to Central Nevada Interagency Dispatch Center (CNIDC) CNIDC has been in operation
from it's new facility since July 2, 2001. This larger facility houses an expanded interagency staff to provide dispatch services for the Winnemucca and Battle Mountain Bureau of Land Management
(BLM) Districts, the Santa Rosa, Austin, and Tonopah Ranger Districts of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, the Bureau of Indian Affairs
(BIA), and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). Previously, dispatching was done out of the Winnemucca BLM Field Office building.
The new center employs 10 staff including two seasonal personnel; Forest Service employees fill two of the dispatch positions. Normal hours of operation are from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.,
Monday thru Friday. During fire season, usually considered to start around mid-May and last until approximately October 1st, the CNIDC will have the capability of operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week should fire activity warrant the extended hours. The purpose of the CNIDC is to provide logistical support to interagency partners:
BLM, U.S. Forest Service, USFWS, and the BIA.
CNIDC is located at 5330 Jays Road in Winnemucca, 2 1/2 hrs from Reno and 2 hrs

Reno lies to the west and Elko to the east. U.S. Hwy 95 runs to the north out of Winnemucca to the Oregon border. Battle
