Friends of Silver Saddle Ranch...
The Friends of Silver Saddle Ranch (FOSSR) was organized in 2000 and is a Carson City not-for-profit community organization. FOSSR is dedicated to the preservation of the Ranch and its cultural, historical, and natural resources as both open space and a working ranch. The goal of FOSSR is to develop and implement education, community outreach, conservation and facility maintenance programs that are consistent with the Silver Saddle Ranch management plan. Approximately 40 members have joined FOSSR since it was organized. General board meetings are held at the Ranch each quarter and typically include, among other events, walking tours on plants, geology, history, or farm and ranch management.
