The Silver State Hand Crew has been around since the late 1960's.
- Late 1960's to 1975 the Crew consisted of mainly Emergency Firefighters
- Organized as a Crew 1976
- Hotshot Crew in 1977
- Interagency Hotshot Crew in 1980
Established in Carson City, NV where the crew continues to reside.
