PLAN OF OPERATION CLOSED AND FINANCIAL GUARANTEE RELEASED

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Winnemucca Field Office announces the closing of a plan of operations and return of a financial guarantee for Chemstars’ Cosgrave Project. The project proposed a limestone quarry site in Horseshoe Canyon, located in the East Range in northeastern Pershing County. Exploration activities were performed during the early 1990s, but a quarry was never developed. After the completion of exploration activities all constructed roads and drill pads were reclaimed and seeded. A recent inspection indicated vegetation has established itself on the reclaimed disturbances.

Accordingly, the BLM proposes to close the plan of operations and return Chemstar’s bond. The BLM will accept comments regarding the closing of the plan of operations and return of the financial guarantee until June 1, 2005. A copy of the previously approved plan of operations is available for review at the BLM Winnemucca Field Office. Further information is available by contacting Fred Holzel at the Winnemucca Field Office (775) 623-1528.
