BLM Receives Motorcycle Race Application

The Bureau of Land Management, Winnemucca Field Office, has received an application from the Lovelock Motocross Association to conduct two motorcycle races on November 15 and 16, 2003. The course would start about 6 miles northwest of Lovelock and would be approximately 42 miles long, consisting of 2 loops. More experienced riders would be able to use a loop six miles long. The proposed course is located north of Lone Mountain and would start and end near the motocross park. A combination of existing roads, washes and single-track trails would be used.

Approximately 100 - 150 racers are expected to participate. Flaggers would be located along the course where it crosses roads.
